Now to the hardest braking point at Silverstone. For the Brembo engineers the braking point ahead of ‘Stowe’ is one of the hardest.

The speedo needle drops by 161km/h. In the process, 1,725 kilowatts of power get dispensed. A full 4.4G make the driver the plaything of brute forces, as he pushes with 117kg down on the brake.

The Brembo engineers also provide the value of braking power for each brake of the circuit, indicated in KW (Kilowatt). This additional data highlights how the energy dissipated during the braking is definitely higher than the power applied to speed up the car. This energy can be translated also in the well-known Hp, simply multiplying the KW value by 1,341.
