Curbs at the Hungaroring

The third set of the 2010 season’s back-to-back races continues this weekend in Budapest with the Hungarian Grand Prix just one week after the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Taking place at the Hungaroring, located 19kms from the capital, the circuit has hosted the race since 1986 and is one of the most technically demanding on the calendar.

The Hungaroring circuit is 19 km from the centre of Budapest, alongside the M3 motorway at the border of the village, Mogyoród. The reconstruction works carried out at Hungaroring circuit in the year 2003, which have been in line with the FIA, FOM and the local ASN (national Autosport Federation of Hungary) resulted in the lengthening of the start-straight by 202 metres; the new circuit length is therefore 4381,08 metres.
